PRIVACY POLICY

We respect your privacy and your personal information; thus, we take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information and to keep it confidential.

Elecmec Transmissions, Elecmec Engineering cc and The Nut Machine Company Pty Ltd will be referred to as the Elecmec Group; shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of Clients and for the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act, Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”) and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (”POPI”).

Elecmec Group may electronically or manually collect, store and use personal information of Clients.  Such information will include the following:

• Name and surname;
• Identity number;
• Passport number;
• Credit Card account number or banking details;
• Postal area code;
• Street address;
• Postal address;
• Contact numbers;
• E-mail address;

Elecmec Group collects, stores and uses the abovementioned information for the following purposes:

1. To compile financial documentation for the client (accurately pull up quotations, tax invoices

statements, credit agreements etc);

1. To accurately deliver proper service and products with correct measurements and specifications;
2. To conclude sale agreements with clients;
3. Communicate requested information to the operator/third party nationally as well as internationally, depending on the services requested by the client. The manner in which we collect your personal information will be by way of you contacting us telephonically, personally or electronically.

The personal information hereby provided by the client will be collected, disclosed, used, processed and stored as is necessary to carry out lawful actions and functions for the conclusion or performance of the agreement entered into between us, and will only be done with your written consent where required, unless we are legally required to do divulge same or are obligated to do so for performance of a public law.

We shall be entitled to disclose personal information if required to do so (a) to comply with applicable law or with legal process served on The Supplier;

(b) to protect and defend the rights or property of The Supplier, and (c) for the purposes of distributing same to various employees and/or third parties who assist The Supplier in providing

services to you and thus need to know your personal information in order to render a proper and efficient service to you.

We will ensure that all such employees and/or third-party service providers having access to your personal information are bound by appropriate and legally binding confidentiality and non-use obligations in relation to your personal information.  We will:

• Treat your personal information as strictly confidential;
• Take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and is protected against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage, alteration, disclosure or access;
• Promptly notify you if we become aware of any unauthorized use, disclosure or processing of your personal information; • Provide you with reasonable evidence of our compliance with our obligations under this policy on reasonable request;
• Upon your request, promptly return, destroy, rectify any and all of your personal information in our possession or control.

We will not retain your personal information longer than the period for which it was originally needed, unless we are required by law to do so, for historical, statistical, research purposes or you consent to us retaining such information for a longer period.

If at any stage, after you have given us consent, if you no longer wish us to use or share your personal information with an affiliate party, you may at any stage withdraw your consent.

You agree to provide accurate and current information, and not to impersonate or misrepresent any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with anyone or anything.

You hereby provide us with your express written consent to use your personal information, share certain of your personal information and to send promotional material to you as done currently.
